Gymnastics Competition

18th March 2016
The Y3/4 Gymnastics Team not only represented the school, but the Hunts Sport Partnership at the Level 3 Schools Games festival this week. It was the first time a gymnastics team from our school had made it to this level of competition, a major achievement! With all six members of the team very excited for the day ahead, we ventured off to the opening ceremony held at the One Leisure centre in St.Ives. We all enjoyed the ceremony, performances and inspiring words from England Netball star Lindsay Keable. It was then time to change venue and head off to Huntingdon Gymnastics Club for the afternoons events of the vault, floor routine and body management. With this being a county final, the standard of competition was high. Every member of the Y3/4 Gymnastics team gave 100% for the entirety of the afternoon, and although their was some disappointment with the final result, you all did incredibly well and were a credit to everyone at Hemingford Grey Primary School.
